| haha, i love to throw everybody off with a good 5 month absence. but
now i find the urge to continue this inconsistent joke for a blog.
let's see, i suppose i shall summarize the last 5 months to the present:
my last entry was shortly before christmas, so let's see... for
christmas i received a new computer screen (things are actually clear
once again!) and maybe indulging in the limits of this new screen has
caused me to forget xanga for so long a time. then the new year (2005)
began on january first (as it does every year), and i started the
second semester of my junior year. fortunately but unfortunately, the
time has just blazed by, and now my classes seem to be wrapping up in
preparation for summer. the good news about summer's approaching is
that the much-detestable seniors at my high school will be graduating,
putting my class and me in charge as far as high-school social classes
are divided. despite an overwhelming schedule and many time consuming
activities, i managed to obtain better grades this semester (so far)
than i ever have before, defiantely something for me to celebrate. i
sold my blue ibanez acoustic/electric back around spring break, and
purchased and spankin brand new martin dreadnaught guitar which has, up
to this point, completely satisfied me. it's reassuring to know that i
now possess a reputable guitar that is known to appreciate in value
over time, and should serve me well for a lifetime if i so desire.
similarly, and unchronologically, i acquired a new snowboard back
shortly after christmas, and was given several chances to try it out at
resorts such as copper and keystone; the thing rides like a charm and i
have already increased my boarding skills by a large factor.
following that brief summary, i'd like to outline my schedule for this upcoming summer:
following the last day of school, i do have a little time of rest
before my sister's graduation from the air force academy on june first.
two days later, i fly into baltimore to attend the summer seminar at
the united states naval academy. on the ninth, i will take a train to
newark, nj, and stay with some relatives for a night before attending
the summer seminar at the united states military academy of west point.
i will then fly back to colorado springs on the 17th, and embark the
very next day on a 10 day excursion in germany. germany played a part
in my childhood while i was only 6 years old or so. it is now about
eleven years later, and i still have not returned; consequently this
trip is a big deal for me, and i hope to make the most out of this
travel opportunity. i should be returning to the states around the 27th
of june.
as far as music news goes, i am still working on stuff, as always, and
hope to put in some quality recording time during the summer. i'd
honestly like to try and update this thing as i get the opportunity --
basically i find that i am either very lazy or very forgetful... but i
promise to try!!
anywho, take care everybody

| alrighty, go check my purevolume page again (www.purevolume.com/brendan trimboli). i rereleased Subtle Hints (compeltely re-recorded on new software) and redid some parts in addition to adding drum loops. It sounds really nice :D
also it should keep people occupied until i sneak a new release out --- dont forget to keep yourself updated
| well i finally managed to complete some of my personally written/performed/recorded music and post it on www.purevolume.com. it is quite a change from the 'screamo' genre persued by my old band Antietam (who are still in existance by the way). if you are interested in checking out my new stuff, follow the link: http://www.purevolume.com/brendantrimboli.
i'd love to hear feedback, comments, or whatever! i have heard interest expressed thus far so i plan to put another song or two up by christmas. thanks for checking it out!
| "And the sign said, 'long haired freaky people need not apply.'"
Yes, I cleaved my beautfil locks of hair today. I feel violated, like Samson probably did after a 'razor touched his head' and he lost his Nazerite powers. on the bright side, it should grow back similarly... after THREE FREAKIN MONTHS!
On a happier note, I managed to drop by best Buy today, and I bought the latest hit in video games: Halo 2 for Xbox and the Xbox Live online subscription service. I tell you what, nothing gets your heart beating quicker than dropping into a bloodfest of a battle with fifteen carnage-hungry gamers from accross the country. Sadly I didn't have much time to try it out today, but it looks like a $75 well invested.
Finally, some of you may know that today was Veteran's Day, a time to pause and appreciate American sacrifice in past and current conflict. It's sad that we must keep adding soldiers to the ever-growing list of those who have been KIA... don't get me wrong, I tihnk service to one's country is one of the most noble things one can do... but I do not agree with current warfare taking place overseas. Perhaps if Bush strapped uzi's and grenades to his own two daughters and sent THEM into Fallujah I would find myself somewhat more satisfied. Anywho, I will take this opportunity to sign off and say good night -- signing off and goodnight!!
| today i was enlightened with a most heartwarming revelation. it was revealed to me that I was wearing a hat and pair of boxers that actually matched. it was probably enough to impress an 'interior' designer (haha get it?), Well my Guiness brand apparel is an inconspicuous example of who I am on the inside I guess. However, I do not claim to organize all my clothing as such...as if my striped shirts and plaid shorts/pants aren't enough | | |
